说到doctor，问题就来了，doctor既可以表示“医生”，也可以表示“博士”。那么到底应该如何区分这两层含义呢？

doctor的第一层含义是指接受过专业训练、可以给他人治病的人，也就是“医生”。

doctor的第二层含义指的是获得大学最高学历的人，也就是“博士”。

她得到了博士学位。

大家还记得漫威电影《奇异博士》吗？这里奇异博士就是Doctor Strange，也是同样的含义。

那么究竟要如何区分两个意思呢？

首先，要通过语境来区分，如果称一个人为Doctor Wang，那么在医院就表示“王医生”，而在学校里就表示“王博士”。

她选择成为医生，拯救他人的生命。

（这里看语境是拯救他人，那么就是医生的意思啦）

其次，还要注意的一点是，如果你想表达“某人是一个医生”时，可以说Someone is a doctor.

但想表达“某人是个博士”时，则要说Someone has a doctor's degree.
